What records are kept of my child's learning?

Each child has their own learning record book. All staff write down observations of children's learning. These observations are continuously assessed and enable staff to plan appropriately for each individual child.

This information is used as evidence towards the mandatory Foundation Stage profile during the year following your child's 4th birthday.

When can I see these records?

Please ask to see your child's records at any time. We hope that you will contribute to them on a regular basis. There will be regular opportunities for you to discuss them with your child's keyworker.

From time to time your child's records may be read by members of the Curriculum Committee from the governing body (excluding parent governors) in order to hold staff accountable for successful delivery of the curriculum.
